Luca Ibarra's Gita Portfolio

Welcome to my Gita Portfolio!

I began GITA in 8th grade, but have been interested in computer science even since elementary school.
Last year in GITA 1, we learned how to code in C#, or more specifically, Visual Studio. Our final project
was a game of our own ideas, so I made a boss-rush style game.
To see that and all my other GITA 1 projects, click the GITA 1
projects, click the GITA 1 link on the left hand side.

This year, however, we are learning HTML
and website making. Now we utilize Notepad++, as well as Css and Javascript. This year I am hoping to
make a fun browser game, such as a survival or building game people can play when they are bored.

Extracurricular Activities

I am participating in several extracurricular activities. Most prominently, I am in a swim
team at Valencia High School. I also am in a politics club that meets every Tuesday.

About Me

In the future, I would like to go into the Computer Programming and Mathematics fields.
As previously stated, my love for coding was founded back in elementary school, but it
is not as powerful as my skill for math. I have always enjoyed math classes and complex
problem solving equations. With all this said, I would like to go to a college such as
CalTech, UCI, MIT, UCSD, or UCLA.

After college, I would like to go into the game design field, or the teaching field. My
most wanted careers so far are Game Designer, Website designer, and Math or Coding Professor.

AP Classes?

Currently, I am only enrolled in one AP class, AP Computer Science Principals.
In the future, however, I intend on enrolling in several other AP classes, such as
Math, History, English, Science, and more.

What is GITA?

GITA stands for Global Information Technology Academy. In essence, GITA is a
hidden pathway offered at Brea Olinda High School, which aims to teach students
about code and how to utilize it. GITA consists of four classes, GITA 1, AP Computer
Science Principals, GITA 3, and AP Computer Science A.
